Un peu de vacances dans une belle forêt...

Over the weekend I took a bit of time out to join my boy on a climbing holiday. Now there is no way I could be classed as a climber but I do enjoy having a go and when I was invited on a trip to Fontainebleau in France, I was completely taken with the idea of sun, cheese and exploring a forest (as well as trying out my climbing skills).

It was a gloriously sunny weekend and although I didn't do much climbing at all I was mighty happy being able to bask on a boulder in the sunshine with my books and sketchpads, surrounded by the beautiful forest (and a few sweaty climbers).

I won't waffle about my jollies too much, I'll just share some pretty pictures and tell you that Fontainebleau is well worth a visit if you're ever south of Paris. Whether you're a keen climber or just enjoy exploring the outdoors, the forest is just incredible and the town itself is charming with a grand chateau and grounds to get lost in too... not to mention all of the amazing cheeses and freshly baked baguettes you would expect to find in France!

Although I was a little sad to be home again I have to admit that my holiday blues soon disappeared when I was greeted with blossom and blue skies back in the UK! Hello Spring!
