Can you tell who it is yet? A famous bit of Sunshine...

I've been a bit quiet on the old blog lately I know and I do apologise if anyone is missing my usual waffle but it's been a buy few weeks here at Sunshine Towers and in general for me.

As well as working on some new jewellery designs (WOOP!) I have also been a busy bee with commissions, travelling about the UK, spending time with family, friends and the kitties as well as keeping up with the odd doodling project... one of which I'm about to share with you!

Back in October last year, (you may remember my raving on about about this on my facebook page), I went to see one of my favourite artists at the o2 Academy in Leicester. I enjoyed it SO much, everything about the music, the humour, the atmosphere in there was just inspiring and mahoosively enjoyable!

Anywho, gushing aside, as I have always been in love with the music and character of this individual I thought it would be interesting to see if I could create a Sunshine of them... without boarding the mental stalker train of course!

It has actually taken me AGES to take my idea anywhere but I have now finally finished my first 'Famous Sunshine.' I'm sure you can probably guess who the lovely ginger dreadlocked subject who inspired me is but don't panic if you can't, I'll tell you at the end...

Colouring In.

My very first Famous Sunshine! Newton Faulkner.

I have to admit, part of me feels a tad uncomfortable drawing a famous person randomly (there is always that stalker element that screams out) but doodling people and bringing out their personality in a Sunshine Caricature is always a challenge and what I LOVE doing for friends, family and my lovely Hello Sunshine customers so I figured... why not?

For any of you other Newton Faulkner fans out there, I hope you like the doodle too. I am still wondering if I should pick another of my favourite, inspirational famous peeps to doodle next but I have 2 or 3 commissions for some lovely Hello Sunshine fans to focus on first so I'll get back to you all on that another time...
