Time for a change?

For those of you who know me personally you may already know I like to change my hair a fair bit... I had my natural mousy brown hair 'au natural' until I was about 16 and since then its been:

Ribeena coloured
Stripy (unintentionally!)
Back to mousey
In dreadlocks
Cut short
Had bleached bits
Gone dark red
Grown long
Turned blonde
Grown out
Gone dark brown
Deep red

...I'm sure there are others in there I've missed but you get the idea! My hair has been red for nearly 18months now, granted it's been varying shades and is currently quite vivid but I feel it's time for something new to mark the start of British Summer time (why not?)

So what next? Well seeing as I verge on a fiery, gingery colour when my current colour fades and with the summer time fast approaching, this is the beautiful picture that is inspiring me currently! My hair is not quite this long but with a bit of will power and the help of my amazing hair dresser I'm hoping that come May time my hair will look something like this.... *finger crossed*

First day of Spring! *happy face*

Yup Spring has landed and boy is it beautiful today! The sun is out the sky is blue and the blossom is perfect...

It is also the first day of my new mini project. As you may remember I excitedly shared the new What I Wore Today book with you, which features one of my doodles *happy dance*

My new mini project is to fill the fabulous little book, as its intended to be, with my doodles and ideas throughout the four seasons it's split out into. Starting with Spring!

So... here you have it, What I Wore on the first day of Spring. I hope you like it....

If you don't already own this book you need to get one in your life. I can honestly say getting the crayons out and doodling in this beautiful book not only felt naughty (it is a shiny new book afterall!) but it was so much fun and rather inspiring as now I have to make sure I look good on the days I doodle! Hmmm....

What I Wore Today : March Edition

Ok so I'm a little late posting my March doodle as I wore it last weekend but it's been a busy old bean of a week and I'm a tad behind with everything at the moment. Still no time like the weekend to play catch up!

Last weekend I was at the fantabulous Millennium Galleries in Sheffield for the Reetsweet Spring fair. It was a bright and early start as I left Sunshine Towers piled high with bags of wares and eaded for the station. It's not a bad ride up to Sheffield but it's times like those when I think a Sunshine mobile would be handy! Preferable one that looks like this...

Sorry I digress... so yes I set up my stall aside some other awesomely talented and inspiring creative peeps and had a lovely catch up with Ellie from Red Anchor Emporium and Katie aka Katrine Brosnan. Before I reveal my outfit (which I know you're all dying to see... haha!) I'd just like to take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the loveliness I was part of last weekend.

Katrine Brosnan : Awesome Illustrations & accessories
Red Anchor Emporium : Rockabilly & Burlesque inspired textiles
Kitschen Sink : Mega fun jewellery & accessories
Deborah Moon : Beautiful illustrative work

I must admit it was hard not to spend the pennies that I was trying to make but I think I did well and managed to purchase something rather lovely for my Mummy in plenty of time for tomorrow (Pssst! It's Mother's Day if you haven't already twigged!)

Anywho... without making you read any further waffle I would like to introduce you to my 'What I Wore Today' doodle for the month of March. To say it was hotter than the sun inside the galleries last weekend I feel for onceI had dressed quite sensibly for the occasion!

I hope it was worth the wait and the waffle! Here's wishing you all a lovely weekend, whatever you may have planned, whether it;s Mother's Day pampering, day trips or just general weekend loveliness!

What I wore last month & THE BOOK!

Ok so I'm a bit late sharing February's 'What I wore today' doodle and I guess it is rather similar to January's but this has made me realise two things:

1. It has been bloomin' chilly
2. I need a new coat!

Still, I enjoyed creating the doodle and I can also shout about the fabulous book that one of my older What I Wore Today doodle's in in! When it came through the post it felt like Christmas again, I was so excited! It's a wonderful book and a great way to encourage doodling of all kinds so if you haven't already got a copy I highly recommend it. To tempt you further here are a few shots from the book itself...

The front cover

You can doodle yourself into it to!

Can you spot the piece of Sunshine I doodled?

See! What's not to love? Beautiful illustrations, quirky commentary and a chance to document your style through the seasons... perfect and would make a great present too don't you think?

Anyway, enough of the sunshine salesman... I'm of to think about how to fill my own copy in and when to start it. When does Spring start anyway? Exciting!
