Happily Ever After Art...

I've had a few requests for Wedding Sunshines lately which is ace! I love doing Sunshines for people, as I've probably rattled on about many times before, but to be asked to do them for Wedding presents and stationary is uber exciting and makes me feel mighty honored.

Anywho, I won't blabble on too much I'll just show you what I have been up to :) One Sunshine Wedding couple is for their Wedding stationary, another is for a framed gift and the third is to be used for a Wedding DVD cover. So many happy couples and a very happy doodled out Jo right now!

My Little Pony... with an awesome twist!

Not so long ago in a time when mini Jojo was running around, drawing on walls and chattering away to anyone who listened My Little Ponies ruled part of the Toy Market. In my eyes they ruled all at the time and although I only had a few of my own I loved them dearly!

My first My Little Pony was Peachy who came with the awesome little Twinkles, I remember unwrapping her on my parents bed one birthday morning and being over the moon! My second was Milkyway, she was very special, not only for the shiny stars and exciting blue streak in her hair but she was a unicorn. Just Magic!

Peachy with Twinkles & Milkyway

It's been a while since I've played with them I must say but I read this blog post at Spoon Graphics today and it's made me want to turn the house upside down until I find them! Not only are they My Little Ponies but they are painted, permed & pimped to look like some classic cartoon and film characters. I was just blown away by some of the creativity, imagination and pure skill here! I have picked a few of my favourites to share with you but you must go forth to Spoon Graphics blog post about the My Little Ponies customizations as they are amazing!

Edward Scissor Hands (Mari Kasurinen) Mr T (Jodi K. Moisan)

Batman (Amy Bell) and Poison Ivy (Mari Kasurinen)

I plan on fining my mini collection and maybe even buying some old ones to try and make a Hello Sunshine or other crazy Jo related Pony customization of my own :) Mwahahahahaha!

Germs, Jewels, Postcards & Festivities!

First of all I must apologise for my lack of blogging lately... the past month has been much of a glittery whirlwind and now I find myself succumbing to the germs and finally having to rest. It's rude really as I still have lots to get on with! Anywho... let me fill you in with a few bits and bobs....

A while ago now I submitted 4 of my bird-tastic pretties for the Postcard show at The Surface Gallery and on the 5th December the exhibition opened. I have yet to shuffle myself on down there but I have seen some photos and borrowed them from the galleries site to share with you... see if you can spot two of my cheeky little bird postcards amongst the other fantastic & beautiful submissions.

Talking of the Surface Gallery I shared a stall with my good friend April at their Christmas Arts & Craft fair which went brilliantly! Despite freezing my tootsies and other bits off I have a very successful weekend and it was the confidence boost I needed to back up my newest jewellery! I am a very happy bunny indeed and have even been out to pur-chase some nice smart black jewellery boxes and organza bags to add more shinysupernewandexcitingness to my work.
As well as being busy with craft fairs and festive sales, I have been creating a few sunshine commissions too which I always love doing. The below piccies w are of my most recent and I'm very pleased with them. Just hope that the recipients are as happy on Christmas Morning!
The last image is a work in progress hence the lame text attempt at the momento... finished pne to follow soon!)

And now for the pretties... Jo's shiny new pretties which were a kind of 'Hi-5 Me!' for all the work I've been doing Well that's how I justify it anyway... I'm sure you will all agree when you see the wonderful prettiness! Behold....

1. Tatty Devine Colouring in Pencil 2. Dandy Purse Pink and Lilly 3. Yumi Butterfly Tunic
4. Uttam London Sparkly Beautiful dress 5. Wren Sparrow Clutch Pink and Lilly
6. Adio Kinsley Trainers Two Seasons

Ok.. so before you get bored and fall off your chairs I shall wind down. I fear I have a chest infection and as much as I'd like to ramble on at you evermore I must rest. So until next time, which I promise won't be as long, I bid you all Good Night!

Superspeedyfastupdate

Morning all!

Just a quickie today to share my latest commission which I completed and handed over last week. I got given an adorable Elephant card and my mission... to copy it onto a 60 x 60cm canvas. 'Eeep!' was my first thought but after roughly a day and a half of therapeutic brush handling and covering myself in paint, I stood back with a massive cheesy grin and felt very proud of what I achieved :)

Et.... Voila!

Christmas Goodies a Go-Go!

Well it's been a month late coming but finally I can tell you all about my crimblemas cards, jewellery and other goodies :) I must apologise in advance for the poor quality of my jewellery photo's though. My poor camera decided it liked to vibrate rather than take pictures so I am awaiting a new one!

Rather than me babble at you...feast your eyes on these...

Each of these crimblemas characters are available in each design layout so you can pick your favourite! Also available as Festive Pin Badges.Wooden & Acrylic Laser cut jewellery to tickle your festive fancy!

Busy busy bee...

Phew! What a mad couple of weeks it has been! At least it's been a productive time though :)

I'm well into making all of my Christmas goodies now - although I was hoping to have had everything finshed a month ago so I'm a tad behind! Although I have had a lot of commissions to deal with so I can't complain :) I thought I'd share a few with you...

This poster is the start of the very latest piece of work I have done for my department at work. I'm now part of the team organising the event and in charge of all of the marketing material designs. Exciting!

I have also just finished putting together a yummy recipe book for Children in Need which we are selling at work in order to raise lots of pennies... here's a peek at the book...I've picked a few of the pages to share but don't want to spoil it be giving away too much!

I've also been busy creating three more Sunshines for people for Christmas which has been muchos fun! I love doing work for other people, it's got to be the biggest compliment and it's a great feeling making someone smile!

Ok...so I think I've caught up with you all now! There's probably a million and one other things I could waffle on about but I'll spare you :) I'll try and arrange some pictures of my Christmas shop goodies for the next post...

An adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world--a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.

A peek before I jet off...

To accompany the quirky little birdie teatime tweets I've been cooking up lately I've started drawing my favourite classic vehicles, starting with the VW Camper Van.... I will have one of my own one day but until then I shall draw, doodle and colour them in :D
This is the way I remember the one my Grandad had when we were little, which took us on many a trip to Attenborough Nature Reserve... ahh the good old days when the swans were bigger than me!

Keep your eyes peeled for the growing collection coming up to Crimblemas!

A little birdie told me...

I've had a bit of an emotional week this week with one thing and the other but this weekend I went to Wayne & Rob's wedding which was a great way to end the week and start a fresh new one! The wedding at Bestwood Park Lodge was beautiful and it was nice to see some of my handywork about the place too - EXCITING! I was honored to be asked by Wayne to do his wedding stationary and thought I'd share some of it with you now the event has passed...

Invitation - Front & Back
RSVP Card & Table Place Card

On the little birdie note I have been a busy bee trying to get together the final 5 of my new Tweetness & Light collection, which I'm pretty please with so far... now just need to make them into Prints and Cards to go onto Etsy & Folksy and into the fabulous NCM's Get Made in Nottingham... watch this space!

Where did September go?

Wow, I can't believe it's October this week! September has been a bit of a manic month and has seemingly flown by! I better sum up my last weekend of the month...which was very Autumnal...

On Saturday I was up early to help my friend April model some of her beatifully cuddly crochet products with a couple of friends. We all headed to Wollaton Park which is a childhood haunt for me and a place which holds many fun time memories. After strolling through the wooded areas round the lake, feeding the dusks and kicking up autumn leaves April managed to get some fantastic photos, and although I have a crusty cornflake coldsore on my face right now the pics looked pretty good! Keep your eye on April's new website for the pics and check out her beautiful products! Perfect for the months ahead!

Aside from a spot of modelling I've been doodling, catching up with much needed rest and working on a recipe book for Children in need... stay tuned for sneaky peeks at my progress with that mini project! In the meantime here's what I wore this weekend... I told you I'm addicted!

What I wore today...

Yesterday I donned my finest Purple wear for a 'Team Away Day' at work. After a morning of building campfires, cooking our lunch in the great outdoors and solving a murder mystery I'm pleased to say that our team won joint first for best 'Ready Steady Campfire Cook and my favourite purple mac survived the day... albeit coming away with a certain 'Eau de schmoke!'
Team Purple were magnificent during the Murder Mystery and although we didn't come in the top three we had a great time! Go Team Purple! And this was my outfit for the day...

A touch of Cimblemas!

This week is feeling rather festive as much as I hate to say in the middle of September. Working for a big company means Christmas starts now and I am currently a lady of the night, as it were, building Christmas planners and stock in store at Fosse Park.

Last night was a killer humping round shelves and putting out POS and I finally slumped into my warm cozy bed at 4.30am this morning (Ouch!) On the plus side tonight we should start putting stock out which means PRETTIES! I may take a pen and paper and start taking notes for Santa! Heehee

On another festive note a colleague of mine is a member of slimming world and asked if I'd illustrate a poster for her group. The poster is to encourage the weight loss leading up to Christmas so I picked a Presents for Pounds theme. Each pound they loose they can colour in a present.

Apparently everyone loves the poster and my friends has told me it may get photocopied for all of the Slimming World groups in Nottingham. Woop!

Anywho, enough Crimblemas talk now... I think I need more quality time with my quilt, pillows and teddy! Enjoy your lunch and for now... N'night!

New Birthday Sunshine!

It's a colleagues birthday (actually my boss!) coming up so as I'm quite poor and can't afford to donate much to the collection I volunteered myself to make her Birthday card and here she is.....

I'm tempted to do a selection of girly and macho Sunshines for birthday cards following the same 'Overloaded with presents' theme... so many ideas so little time *sigh*

On another quick note I did a few final drawings for my friends tattoo as she selected the a Bow design to go with... take a peek....

Pining after Pretties...

I'm trying so hard not to spend pennies at the momento as in 6 weeks I am off to the BIG APPLE!

Big Woop!

Alas there are so many pretties out there tempting me to spend pennies.... this pair of mighty pretty Boots have been seducing me for a number of months now... and I'm still resisting... but for how long...?
